Speculative Design is a non-applicative design approach aimed at striking up dialogue and discussion through objects. In the future, human material life would be gradually satisfied. With the ability to enhance organs’ capabilities through surgeries, extending organ autonomy, people begin to shift their focus towards mental development. People vary in their expression and acceptance of emotions. Some individuals struggle to empathize with the emotions of others, while others face difficulties in expressing their own emotions. Emorgan has conceived an emotional counseling process without altering the human brain structure. Furthermore, Emorgan provides artificial organs that can translate emotions into the five senses, enabling individuals to internalize their partner's emotions within their own bodies. The question arises: Can intimate relationships effectively utilize technology to enhance empathic abilities?

How to convey the topic in a simpler way

Designating couples as an example of intimate relationships helps designers tell a story that enables listeners to better understand the entire Emorgan process.

Choice of presentation methods

This project is a graduation project where my partner and I collaborated to create objects and refine the process through a combination of software and hardware integration. This includes UI/UX design, industrial design, and exhibition design. Additionally, we collaborated with an animator to create a video that effectively highlights the design concept of our project.

Materials, forms, and transplantation methods of objects

The entire project requires a significant amount of medical knowledge to assist designers in completing the work. Throughout the process, we conducted research on the rationale behind the materials and forms of artificial organs. We also interviewed two biomedical doctors to obtain their recommendations, ensuring that the counseling process, organ designs, and transplantation procedures are all reasonable and safe.
